East Stroudsburg, Pa. — In the Lafayette-ESU four-way at Lafayette Friday night, KU saw eight of its hammer throwers compete, with Jim Dart winning the competition on the men's side with a throw of 52.39 meters.

Also earning team points for the Golden Bears were Jason Rebuck who placed third (50.47m) and Chris Boutsikaris  who placed fourth (46.65m).

The top finisher for the women was Michelle Hughes, who placed seventh with a throw of 38.18.
