PENSACOLA, FL - The Kutztown University women's
cross country team finished a best-ever 14th at the NCAA
Championships Saturday morning.
The Golden Beats finished 14th out of 24 teams, up one place from
last season. Kutztown scored 364 team points. Adams
State won the national title with 94 points. Edinboro placed 10th
with 288 points.
Stephanie Williams led the Golden Bears on the 6K course,
placing 46th overall with a time of 21:40.8. Desiree Bower
finished 67th (22:08.7) and Joanna Horstmann was 69th
(22:10.4). Maureen Watson placed 76th (22:25.0) and
Chelsea Thomas finished 106th in 22:59.4. Rounding out
KU's top seven were Cheryl Dingman in 145th (24:00.6) and
Lauren Ayers in 150th (24:18.8).
