The Strategic Planning and Resource Committee is established as an official committee reporting to the University Senate and is responsible for:
- Identifying and monitoring strategic initiatives
- Advising the President and the Senate on critical strategic issues
- Linking critical strategic issues to the budget and recommending priorities
- Providing oversight to the program review process to ensure that resources are considered, that issues which affect more than one program are addressed, and that new program initiatives are brought forth for consideration, and
- Maintaining effective communication with the University Community
