Budget Subcommittee

Membership

The Budget Subcommittee shall consist of a Chair who must be a faculty member and a member of the SP&R Committee and who is elected by the SP&R Committee; a minimum of three additional faculty members who are members of the SP&R Committee, one at-large member of the SP&R Committee, the President of APSCUF-KU, the President of the University, the Provost, the Assistant to the President for Enrollment Management, the Vice President of Administration and Finance, the Vice President of Development, and any other of the Vice Presidents of the University who are invited to attend by the President of the University. The Chair of the SP&R Committee shall be an ex-officio member of this subcommittee.

Purpose

The Strategic Planning and Resource Budget Subcommittee will monitor the current university budget and study both internal and external factors that may have an effect on current and future budgets. The Subcommittee will report findings to the full SP&R Committee

Charge

1. Recommend processes for working with the short-term budget
2. Determine a long-range budget process
3. Develop processes for streamlining the financial structure, financial policies, and budgetary processes of the University.
4. Align the University budget with strategic initiatives
5. Submit reports to the SP&R Committee on the ongoing progress of this subcommittee.
