Research Travel
Proposal
Requirements
Due to budget limitations, we can fund travel up to a total of $500 per
project. This is not $500 per student!
Proposals must follow the format:
- Completed signature
page
- hand deliver
this page with original
signatures in blue
ink to Dr. Kurt Friehauf in the Department of Physical Sciences
(Boehm Bldg. room 425)
- Completed cover sheet in Microsoft
Word format
- Proposal in Microsoft
Word format
- 1-3 page summary of research (single spaced, 12 point Times
font - please stick with the formatting in the template)
- Detailed budget of all costs
- Copy of letter of invitation
from destination lab hosting
instrumentation
- Please
be sure that the Subject line of your email states "Undergraduate
Research Committee - Proposal - your
name" (or else you risk loss of your proposal to the
spam filter!)
Once we've received your proposal, we will notify you that we've put
you on the agenda for the next meeting.
At that meeting, you will be asked to give a short presentation
to the
committee explaining your research and request.
