The Heritage Center Library, a history and genealogical research center with primary emphasis on the Pennsylvania Germans, is located at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center on the Kutztown University campus. The library collection includes the following publications: immigration records; church and cemetery records; civil records; county histories; family histories/genealogies; military records; the Pennsylvania German Society yearly volumes; and the published Pennsylvania Archives. There are also innumerable records on CD-ROMS and microfilm.
The is a research fee of $5 for non-members to use the library. There is no fee for members to research.
In addition, the Heritage Center Library is the repository for the Pfalz immigration records from the Institut für Pfälzische Geschichte und Volkskunde in Kaiserslautern, Germany. (there is an additional fee for use of the pfalz records).
