Winter Vanquish Festival / Winter
Austreibungsfest
- doors open at 2:30pm. Festival lasts from 3 -
7 pm. Walt Groller's Bands returns to headline
this years Festival. Tickets provide admission,
beverages, a "Vesper Buffet" of delicious lunch
meats and cheeses, continuous snacks, music and
dancing, door prizes and raffles prizes. The "8-day
Vacation in Germany" drawing will be held
.
The
festival will be held at the Kempton (PA)
Community Center Ballroom east of Route 143
(Lenhartsville to New Tripoli), North of
Kempton.
Capacity
Limits ticket sales so order your tickets by
calling Fest Chairman Tom Wisser 610-298-2057.
Tickets are $20. Tickets at the door will be
more so order them early and you can pick them
up at the door.

Heritage Harvest Fescht
Come greet the arrival of fall with our annual
Pennsylvania Dutch Harvest celebration. This fun
filled and educational event features activities
that are great for the entire family. Learn
about life on a Pennsylvania German farm with
living history demonstrations of a wide variety
of farm life activities. Venture inside our
historic farmhouse and summer kitchen to watch
as historic foodways and crafts are brought back
to life. Make sure to visit all of our children
craft activities including scarecrow making and
pumpkin painting. Be sure to also visit our
affiliate organizations the Reading-Berks Guild
of Craftsmen and the Old Time Plow Boys that
will be helping to make this event a success. We
hope to see you at this fun filled celebration
of the Fall.

Christmas on the
Farm
FREE admission.
PGCHC invites
you to
Christmas on the Farm to share with us many
holiday traditions of the Pennsylvania Germans.
There will also be many other activities going
on throughout the day. The Belsnickel will be
visiting, and carolers will be roaming the farm
singing Christmas carols in the dialect. For
the Kids, there will also be farm animals, and
farm equipment demonstrations in the barn. Our
affiliate groups will also be helping make the
event a success. The Old Time Plow Boys will
also have their kitchen open so be sure to stop
by and get a warm bite to eat. Craftsmen from
the Reading Berks Guild of Craftsmen will be
selling their wares and demonstrating. Also,
The Pennsylvania German Society will be present
to give out information and will be having a
member’s only book sale in conjunction with our
event.

Using the grounds
The
Heritage center is available for functions such as family reunions,
children's birthday parties and weddings. Tent set-ups, catering,
etc. can be arranged. We also offer speakers for community
functions. Contact
Darlene Moyer, Assistant Director, for more information.

Ongoing tours are held throughout the year by appointment.
Large group tours need at least 4 weeks to arrange.
