matches on opening day of UMES Invitational:
The Golden Bears defeated St. Peters,
808-798, Arkansas State, 937-891, Morgan State, 880-858 and
Southern, 878-861, to improve their season record to 18-12
overall. Kutztown is in eighth place of the 20-team
tournament with 4,376 pins after the opening day of

Men's
basketball Alumni Day is set:
The Kutztown University men’s basketball program will host its
annual Alumni Day on Saturday, December 5, 2009. All alums are
encouraged to come out for a full-day of activities, memories, fun
and to cheer on the current crop of Golden Bears against the

| Women's Volleyball
Miller and Celia named to PSAC East second team:
Senior Katie Miller and junior Jamie Celia was named to the
all-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East second team.
Celia and Miller played key roles in helping the Golden Bears finish
with 16 victories and in second place in the PSAC East.

| Men's Basketball Balanced Kutztown
defeats Wilmington in opener:
The
Kutztown University men’s basketball team began its 2009-10
season with a 95-61 victory over Wilmington University at
Keystone Arena Wednesday night.
Kutztown
scored the first 16 points and never trailed in winning its
16th consecutive home game. Julius Gray and Ryan
Washington scored 21 points each to lead five players in

The two-day Golden Bear
Invitation will feature a session of trials and finals on
Friday & Saturday November 20-21, 2009 at Keystone Pool.
Friday’s action begins at 11 a.m. with the preliminaries and
at 7 p.m. with the finals. Saturday’s events start at 10
a.m. and 4 p.m. with the finals.

Angstadt garners more postseason
awards:
Kim Angstadt of the field hockey team earned
second-team All-American status by womensfieldhockey.com.
Angstadt had previously been named to the PSAC Eastern
Division first team.
