KUTZTOWN, Pa. — The Kutztown University men’s soccer team struggled to match East Stroudsburg's offense in a messy, rain-soaked Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East contest Saturday at Keystone Field.

The Golden Bears (1-3, 1-1 PSAC East) were held to just six shots by the Warriors (3-1, 1-0 PSAC East), who had 16.

Matthew Fredericks (jr. Montdale/Lakeland) made four saves for the Golden Bears.

East Stroudsburg opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Roshane Ellison scored an unassisted goal on a shot from just outside the 18.

Nick Greenwood headed in a cross from Kyle Niemann less than three minutes later to make it 2-0.

The Warriors extended their lead to 3-0 with an unassisted goal by Kevin Holmes.

Jason Shegda scored at the 58:40 mark to make it 4-0.

KU will travel to West Chester for a 2 p.m. PSAC East match up Tuesday.
