LOCK HAVEN, Pa. —
The
Kutztown
University's men's swimming team defeated Indiana (Pa.) 133-107 on
Saturday at Lock Haven.
Jack Crellin (fr.
Pittsburgh/North Allegheny)
won the 1,000 free (10:20.75) and the 500 free (5:03.86).
Stephen Krater (jr.
Port Carbon/Pottsville Area)
won the 200 free (1:50.86) and the 100
free
(49.85), a PSAC qualifying time.
David Shedleski (fr.
Mechanicsburg/Trinity)
won the 100 breast (1:03.54),
John Pandish (sr.
Milford/Delaware Valley)
won the 200 fly (2:05.59) and
Jeff Travor (so.
Quakertown/Quakertown Community)
won the 200 breast (2:20.47).
The team of
Gabriel Recio (so.
Lancaster/Hempfield),
Shedleski,
John Nicklous (sr.
Philadelphia/Father Judge)
and
Derek Orr (sr.
Easton/Easton) won the 400
medley relay in 3:47.23.
KU WOMEN PICK UP
FIRST WIN OVER IUP, ALSO DOWN LHU
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. —
Stephanie Jeppesen
(jr. Bethlehem/Liberty)
won four events and set three pool records
to lead the Kutztown University women’s swimming team to a sweep of
PSAC foes Indiana (Pa.) and Lock Haven.
The win over IUP, 71-51, was a first for the KU women. The Golden
Bears also downed Lock Haven 96-25.
Jeppesen set LHU pool records in the 100 breast (1:07.17, also an
NCAA-B cut time), the 200 breast (2:27.69) and the 400 medley relay
(4:07.47). She teamed with
Allison Sheely (so.
Enola/Trinity),
Laura Heebner (sr.
Easton/Easton) and
Jordan Shapiro (fr.
Trenton N.J./Princeton)
on the medley relay. Jeppesen also won the 200 IM (2:15.53).
Other event winners for KU included
Alex Crigler (so.
West Lawn/Wilson High School)
in the
1,000 free (10:57.50), Heebner in the 200 fly (2:19.60) and Shapiro
in the 100 free (55.23). KU's team of Sheely,
Kelli Pry (so.
Coatesville/Coatesville Area),

and Shapiro won the 400 free relay in 3:45.12.
