ITA National Small College Championships
at Mobile, Ala.

MOBILE, Ala. — Lukas Labitsch (sr. Bruck an der Mur, AUSTRIA) finished eighth place in the singles tournament of the ITA National Small College Championships.

Labitsch finished the tournament 0-3 after falling 6-0, 6-3 to Marton Zsiga (Southwest Baptist) in the seventh-place match Saturday.

ITA National Small College Championships
at Mobile, Ala.

MOBILE, Ala. — Lukas Labitsch (sr. Bruck an der Mur, AUSTRIA) lost his first consolation match against Sasha Ruckelshausen (Metropolitan State) Friday morning at the ITA National Small College Championship.

Labitsch won his first set 7-6, but dropped his next two sets 6-0 and 6-2.

He will play his second consolation match, for seventh place, on Saturday vs. Marton Zsiga (Southwest Baptist) at 11:30 a.m. (Eastern)

Friday night, Labitsch and Arpit Sharma (jr. Kolkata, INDIA) lost to Rong Ma/Agnel Peter of BYU-Hawaii 6-4, 7-5 to finish sixth in the national doubles bracket.

ITA National Small College Championships
at Mobile, Ala.

MOBILE, Ala. — Lukas Labitsch (sr. Bruck an der Mur, AUSTRIA) and Arpit Sharma (jr. Kolkata, INDIA) went 1-1 in the first day of action at the ITA National Small College Championships Thursday.

The duo lost its first match to Ryan Hudson and Juan Nunez of Abilene Christian, 6-3, 6-1.  KU's pair then bounced back with a 7-6, 5-7, 10-5 win over Jordan Chomko and Nick Provenza of Mesa State.

They will play Rong Ma/Agnel Peter (BYU-Hawaii) on Friday at 3 p.m. (Eastern time) for fifth place.

In singles, Labitsch fell 6-3, 6-1 to Armstrong Atlantic’s Eudaldo Bonet. His first consolation match will be on Friday vs. Sasha Ruckelshausen (Metropolitan State) at 11:30 a.m. (Eastern)
