KU women defeat Division I St. Joseph's 4-3

PHILADELPHIA — Sabrina Arnaud (jr. Pintendre, CANADA) and Nicole Devine (Allentown/Allentown Central Catholic) led the Kutztown University women's tennis team to a 4-3 win over Division I St. Joseph's University.

Both Arnaud and Devine won two matches Sunday to lead the Golden Bears (6-2). They teamed up to win their No. 2 doubles match, and Arnaud won 7-5, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while Devine won 7-6, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

Their win at doubles, coupled with a win by Chelsea White (fr. Landenberg/Avon Grove) and Tess Wright (so. Lewisburg/Lewisburg) in the No. 3 doubles, gave KU the overall doubles victory as they were playing under Division I rules where teams get one point for winning the majority of the three doubles matches.

Wright also won at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 7-5, to give KU the 4-3 win.
