KU MEN PLACE SECOND AT URSINUS COLLEGEVILLE INVITE

KUTZTOWN, Pa. — The Kutztown University men’s indoor track and field team finished second out of 19 teams with T.J. Longmore (jr. Lititz/Manheim Twp.) leading the way with the only first-place finish for the Golden Bears at the Ursinus Collegeville Invitational Friday.

Longmore took first in the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.94 seconds.

Justin Germani (so. Birdsboro/Daniel Boone) tied for second in the pole vault (14-11).

Cody Hartzler (sr. Belleville/Indian Valley) finished third in high jump (6-5 1/2) and Jason Rebuck (jr. Southampton/William Tennent) was third in the shot put with a throw of 45-10 1/2.

KU’s 1,600 relay team of Harvey, Dixon, Hartzler, Crump finished first with time of 3:29.27.

The Golden Bears will travel to the Bucknell Open on Jan. 30-31.


KU WOMEN FINISH FIRST AT URSINUS 

KUTZTOWN, Pa.Ashley Pinter (so. Bethlehem/Liberty) and Kelly Strickland (jr. Bear, Del./Caravel Academy) led the Kutztown University women’s indoor track and field team to a first-place finish out of 19 at the Ursinus Collegeville Invitational Friday.

Pinter finished first in the shot put with a throw of 40-6 and Strickland won the pole vault (10-6).

KU swept the top three spots in the pole vault with Melissa Fellenbaum (fr. Landisville/Hempfield) and Rachel Weigle (jr. Red Lion/Red Lion) vaulting 10-0, with Fellenbaum taking second with the tie-breaker.

Joanna Horstmann (sr. Downingtown/Downingtown West) finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:23.20.

The KU 1,600 relay of Colburn, Horstmann, Tor-Agbidye and Quinn also took first with a time of 4:15.48.

The Golden Bears will travel to the Bucknell Open on Jan. 30-31.
