Penn Relays
KU women’s results:
Shot Put: 23. Ashley Pinter, 38-11.
Discus: 20. Ashley Pinter, 128-10.
1,600 relay: 70. KU (Lynn Lisofsky, Joanna Horstmann, Jessica Schlecter, Katie Colburn), 4:02.64.

KU men’s results:
Long Jump: 18. Matt Cannell, 21-9 1/2.
1,600 relay: 6. KU (Percell Berry, Shaun Crump, Kendel Dixon, Joe Tavormina), 3:21.06.


Pinter, Cannell lead KU at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA — Several members of the Kutztown University men’s and women’s outdoor track and field team competed at the Penn Relays Thursday and Friday.

Ashley Pinter (so. Bethlehem/Liberty) led the Golden Bears with two top-25 finishes on Thursday. She placed 20th in the discus (128-10) and 23rd in the shot put (38-11).

On Friday, Matt Cannell (fr. Douglassville/Daniel Boone) placed 18th in the long jump (21-9 1/2).

On Friday, in the 1,600 relay, KU finished sixth with a time of 3:21.06. The relay team was comprised of Percell Berry (fr. Norristown/Methacton), Shaun Crump (jr. Boyertown/Boyertown) , Kendel Dixon (jr. Atglen/Octorara) and Joe Tavormina (so. Hellertown/Saucon Valley).

The women's 1,600 relay team placed 70th on Thursday, with the team of Lynn Lisofsky (so. Wilkes-Barre/James M. Coughlin), Joanna Horstmann (sr. Downingtown/Downingtown West), Jessica Schlecter (jr. Chalfont/Central Bucks South) and Katie Colburn (so. Hanover/South Western) running the race in 4:02.64.
