Kutztown shines at NCAA Championships: The Kutztown University women’s cross country team finished its 2009 season with a flourish by finishing 14th overall with 355 points at the NCAA Division II Championships on the campus of Southern Indiana University Saturday afternoon. Full Story

Women ready for NCAA Championships: The Kutztown University women’s cross-country team will participate in the 2009 NCAA Division II national championship meet on Saturday, November 21 at the University of Southern Indiana Cross Country Course in Evansville, Indiana.  The women’s race will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time. Women place second, earn trip to NCAA National Championship: The Kutztown University women's cross-country team will get to perform at the NCAA National Championship after coming in second place at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional meet this weekend. Junior Cristina Reimer finished first for the Golden Bears, and 14th overall. KU placed all seven runners in the top 50. Full Story

Squads to
compete at NCAA Atlantic Regionals: The Kutztown cross-country squads will be competing at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regionals on Saturday, November 7 at Mansfield University. More than 24 schools showcasing teams from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina are expected to feature 350 athletes. Kutztown will run seven women and six men. Full Story

KU women 5th; men 9th at conference championship:
 The Kutztown University women's cross country team placed three runners in the top 30, en route to taking fifth place at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship. The KU men finished in ninth out of 15, and were led by Ben Loht. Full Story

Cross-Country ready to bring it at PSAC Championships: The Kutztown men’s and women’s cross-country teams will make their appearance at the PSAC championships this weekend on Edinboro University’s campus. Men move into sixth in Atlantic Region: The latest rankings have been released by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), placing the Golden Bears in sixth place in the Atlantic Region, moving up one spot after their performance at the Nevins Invitational. Women finish second at Nevins Invitational:
The Kutztown women's cross-country team finished second overall, placing four runners in the top 20. Freshman Lindsay Smith came in first for the Golden Bears with a time of 20:47, placing 10th overall. Full Story

Dingman finding time to contribute: Trying to keep up with senior Cheryl Dingman is like running in a marathon. Her days are long and never ending. She’s co-captain of the women’s cross-country team, a member of the indoor/outdoor track teams and a full-time art education student. As if that weren’t enough of a mouthful to describe in the midst of her hectic schedule, Dingman is also student teaching and preparing for a December graduation. Full Story

Kutztown jumps into second in Atlantic Region, 17th Nationally:
 With their success last weekend, the Golden Bears slip into second in the Atlantic Region and jump to spot No. 17 nationally, according to the latest rankings released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In three of four races, junior Kristin Cupido has finished in the top five. Full Story

Men remain 7th in Atlantic Region: For the third consecutive week, the men's cross-country team has maintained seventh place in the Atlantic Region, according to the latest rankings released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Women place second, Men finish 6th: After two weeks off, the cross-country teams trekked into the rain to compete at the Lafayette Leopard Invitational. The women finished second for 52 points and the men finished in sixth for 179 points. Kristin Cupido finished second overall and first for the Golden Bears. Ben Loht placed 21st overall and first for Kutztown. Full Story

For Reich, actions speak louder than words: After the Paul Short Invitational on Oct 12, the men’s cross-country team was ranked No. 7 in the Atlantic Region by the USTFCCA rankings. This weekend's Lafayette Leopard Invitational is a chance to prove the Paul Short Invitational was not a fluke.  “We deserve to be ranked seventh," Reich said.  We earned it and want to stay in the rankings.”  Full Story

Women win first in meet, Men finish first for PSAC teams and both break school records: The Kutztown University cross-country squads competed in the 36th annual Brooks Paul Short Run on Goodman Campus at Lehigh University. Both squads broke their own school records on the course, individually and as a team. Full Story

Loht ready for challenge at Lehigh Valley Invitational: Kutztown University senior Ben Loht started the 2009 season with a bang. He won the Maroon and Gold Invitational on Sept. 12th, and came in first for the Golden Bears at the Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 19th. This weekend's meet is significant for the Golden Bears, but Loht says he's ready for the challenge.  Full Story

The Kutztown University cross country squads traveled to the Big Apple on Saturday to competed in the Br. John “Paddy” Doyle Meet of Champions. Hosted by Iona College, the women’s team placed 14th and the men’s team finished in 19th place. Freshman Becca Brandt and senior Ben Loht crossed the finish line first for their respective teams. The Kutztown University cross-country squads will hit the road this weekend, when they travel to Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N. Y. on Saturday to compete in the 15th annual Br. John Doyle Iona College Meet of Champions hosted by Iona College. Full Story

Men and Women place first at Maroon and Gold Invitational, despite bad weather: With a steady rain, heavy at some points, and a high of only 63 degrees for what is still considered a summer day by the calendar, the Golden Bears didn’t seem to mind the foul weather, showing up with high spirits and in body paint for the home meet. Kutztown to host Maroon and Gold Invitational:
The Golden Bears welcome Drew University, Albright College and Middlesex Community College to campus for the festivities. The women’s race begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the men’s race at 10:50 a.m. This meet will mark the 2009 debut of the men’s cross-country team and some of the key members of the women’s cross-country squad. Kutztown starts season off strong:
The Kutztown University cross-country team began its 2009 season in style by finishing third in the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Championship meet at Lehigh University Friday afternoon. Overall, the Golden Bears had three runners place in the top 10. Full Story
