Directions to KU & Athletic Facilities

| Women's Basketball
TRAVEL NOTICE: PA Route 737
is scheduled to be closed on Friday, Nov. 14 and
Saturday, Nov. 15 due to construction. With the KU
women's basketball Golden Bear classic on Saturday, fans
planning on using route 737 to campus will want to plan
extra time, or choose an alternate route. |
Attention bus drivers: As in the past, buses
are not allowed to park on south campus. After dropping off teams, bus
drivers are asked to park on North Campus in lot A3.
Directions to Kutztown, PA
The following are general directions from major areas/cities. Please
locate the city below that is nearest to you and follow the directions from
there.
From Philadelphia or Scranton: take the
Northeast Extension (I-476) of the PA Turnpike to the Lehigh Valley Exit (Exit 56-old
exit 33).
Proceed to US 22 West, toward Harrisburg. US 22 will merge with I-78. Travel
approximately 10 miles to the exit for Kutztown (exit 40, Rt. 737). Take 737 south for six
miles into Kutztown, eventually coming to a stop light which is Main St. Turn right
onto Main and go straight through two stop lights. The third light will be Normal
Ave./College Blvd. Turn left onto Normal Ave. To continue to specific venues, see directions below.
From Pittsburgh: take the Pennsylvania
Turnpike to Harrisburg. Follow directions from Harrisburg below.
From Harrisburg: take I-81/I-78 East.
When 81 and 78 split, stay on 78 East. Approximately 60 miles after the split, take
the Kutztown exit (exit 40, Rt. 737). Take 737 south for six miles into Kutztown,
eventually coming to a stop light which is Main St. Turn right onto Main and
go straight through two stop lights. The third light will be Normal Ave/College
Blvd. Turn left onto Normal Ave. To continue to specific venues, see directions below.
From New York City/Northern New Jersey:
Take 287 around the city and into central New Jersey. Pick up I-78 West and follow
it into Pennsylvania. OR-from the Holland Tunnel, take I-78 West to Pennsylvania.
Once in Pennsylvania, remain on 78 West until you come to the exit for Kutztown
(exit 40, Rt. 737). Take 737 south for six miles into Kutztown, eventually coming to a stop light
which is Main St. Turn right onto Main and go straight through two stop
lights. The third light will be Normal Ave./College Blvd. Turn
left onto Normal Ave. To continue to
specific venues, see directions below.
From Allentown: Take 222 South (Hamilton
Blvd.) to the Kutztown exit. You will be on Main St. Proceed straight through
five stop lights. The fifth light will be Normal Ave./College Blvd.
Turn left onto Normal Ave. To
continue to specific venues, see directions below.
From York/Lancaster: From York:
Take U.S. 30 East to Lancaster, then U.S. 222 North. Avoid 222 Business
in Reading by taking the U.S. 222 By-pass toward Allentown. Follow 222 16 miles north of
Reading and you will come to the Kutztown Exit. Take the exit. After
approximately one mile, you will come to a stop light.
- If you wish to go to the baseball/softball/cross country complex, then
turn left at the light onto Schaeffer Lane. Schaeffer is a one-way street.
Merge into the left lane. At the end of the Schaeffer, turn left. Go through
the traffic gate, after which is a parking lot on the right. The softball field is
immediately behind the row of trees at the far end of the lot. The baseball field is
behind the softball field. Cross country events begin and finish on the close side
of the trees, opposite the baseball field.
- If you want any of the other venues, then proceed straight through the
light. Approximately 100 yards past will be another light, which is Normal
Ave./College Blvd. Turn Right onto Normal Ave. To continue to specific venues, see directions
below..
From Reading: Take 222 North to the
Kutztown exit. You will be on Kutztown Rd. After approximately one mile, you
will come to a stop light.

Baseball/Softball/Cross Country (North Campus
Complex)
Proceed straight through the light at Normal/College. At the next light, turn right
onto Schaeffer Lane. Schaeffer is a one-way street. Merge into the left lane.
At the end of the Schaeffer, turn left. Go through the traffic gate, after
which is a parking lot on the right. The softball field is immediate behind the row
of trees at the far end of the lot. The baseball field is behind the softball field.
Cross country events begin and finish on the close side of the trees, opposite the
baseball field.
Football/Field
Hockey/Outdoor Track & Field
(University Field)
Approximately 100 feet after turning onto Normal Avenue,
there will be a right turn, take it into the Stadium parking lot.
Tennis
(Keystone Courts)
Follow Normal around a sharp left turn and to a stop
sign. Turn right onto Baldy St. Turn right at the first opportunity (South
Campus Drive). On the right, approximately 200 feet, are the Keystone Courts.
Soccer/Lacrosse
(Keystone Fields)
Follow Normal around a sharp left turn and to a stop
sign. Turn right onto Baldy St. Turn right at the first opportunity
(South Campus Drive).
Turn left at the first opportunity and proceed into the parking lot.
Enter Keystone Hall and proceed to the back of the building.
Keystone Soccer field is located behind Keystone Hall.
Basketball/Volleyball/Swimming/Wrestling/Indoor
Track & Field (Keystone Hall/Keystone Field House)
Follow Normal around a sharp left turn and to a stop
sign. Turn right onto Baldy St. Turn right at the first opportunity (South Campus
Drive). Primary parking for Keystone Events is located in the parking lot
on the left (in front of the field house), however additional
parking is available next to the recreation center. (Note to bus drivers:
parking for buses is not allowed in the primary parking area of Keystone Hall.
Buses must be parked in one of the other parking areas around Keystone Hall.)
OFF CAMPUS HOME SITES
Women's Golf
(Berkleigh Golf Club)
Normally, women's golf home tournaments are played at
Berkleigh Golf Club,
located in Kutztown, Pa.
Women's Bowling
(Berks Lanes)
Normally, women's bowling home tournaments are played at
Berks Lanes, located in
Sinking Spring, Pa.
