SPORTS MEDICINE

The Department of Sports Medicine, a Division of Health & Wellness Services, provides medical services to 22 men’s & women’s intercollegiate athletic teams, comprised of nearly 600 student-athletes. The staff operates one facility in Keystone Hall.

Athletic Training Services Available to Visiting Teams
Due to staffing and scheduling, if your team is traveling without an athletic trainer, you need to call ahead to verify whether our staff will be able to handle your team’s pre-event needs. A certified athletic trainer will be available during all contests and after each event, as needed.

1. Electrical-based therapeutic modalities are available ONLY if a certified athletic trainer accompanies your team.
2. Water, ice and emergency items will be provided at each event.
3. You MUST bring your own taping supplies and cups and/or water bottles.
4. Please call at least 48 hours prior to the event for any special needs.

EQUIPMENT SERVICES

Kutztown University may supply locker rooms to visiting teams depending on availability. Locker rooms are located in Keystone Hall and in Risley Hall. Visiting teams are responsible for supplying their own towels and locks and securing valuables. Call the equipment manager for details.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION

Teams visiting Kutztown between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, will need to obtain a visitors’ parking pass to be displayed on the dashboard of their vehicle(s). Visitors’ passes can be obtained through the Department of Public Safety or through the Athletic Department located in Keystone Hall. After 4:30 PM, no parking pass is needed. Vehicle(s) are to be parked in spaces that are lined with white or green lines ONLY. Parking in a handicapped area will require a state-issued handicapped parking permit at all times. Violators will receive a citation and may have their vehicle towed. Buses should park according to the procedures below.

BUS PARKING INFORMATION: If your teams travel by bus to Kutztown University, please use the following lots to park:

For events at/near Keystone Hall: Single events (Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Wrestling, Soccer, Field Hockey)-buses should park in the Student Recreation Center Lot (E2 on Campus Map). All tournaments (sports listed above, track & field)-buses should park on North Campus (near Beekey Building, lot A3 on Campus Map). Football: buses may park in the driveway of Risley Hall (33 on Campus Map). For events on North Campus: (Baseball, Softball, and Cross Country) park in the far end of the lot adjacent to the softball field (B3 on the Campus Map).

NOTE: There is no bus parking in Lot E1 (FIELD HOUSE). DROP OFF PASSENGERS ONLY.
