Kutztown defeated Bloomsburg Sunday night at the
2008 Builder Invitational hosted by the Apprentice School. The game was a non-conference meeting
between the PSAC East foes.
Steve Craig
(1-1) hurled six innings, scattering three hits to pick up his first victory of the season. Garrison
Rausch finished things off for KU, striking out three Huskies
over the final three innings for the save.
KU enjoyed an offensive explosion, as it scored
11 runs in the first three innings. Bryan Riggins and
Brett Wigder had two hits a piece, while seven of KU's nine
starters recorded at least one hit.
Tom Ganser took the loss for Bloomsburg, as he
lasted only a third of an inning, allowing three earned runs and three
free passes.
KU will be in
action on March 8 for
its annual spring break trip to Savannah, Ga.
