KU, West Chester split doubleheader
Friday
WEST CHESTER,
Pa. — The Kutztown University baseball team split a pair of
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East games against West
Chester Friday at Serpico Stadium.
KU (23-21, 9-9 PSAC
East) lost 2-0 in the first game and won 13-3 in the second game.
The Golden Bears
will close out their four-game set with the Golden Rams at 1 p.m.
Saturday at North Campus Field. The doubleheader will complete KU’s
PSAC East slate.
KU can clinch a playoff berth with two wins
Saturday. A split in the two games would make it necessary for
Mansfield (10-8) to lose both its games at Bloomsburg for KU's
playoff hopes to remain alive. In that case, the playoff berth
would be decided by the final PSAC tiebreaker, a coin toss. KU
would be eliminated with two losses.
