Kutztown Completes Season Sweep of Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Kutztown picked up a 4-2 PSAC inter-division victory at Shippensburg Tuesday afternoon.

Andy May was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Chad Lightcap was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. 

KU got on the board in the third inning on Lightcap's two-run double.  The Raiders, however, tied it with a run in the third and one in the fourth.

In KU's sixth, James Quigley led off with a double. After being sacrificed to third, Quigley scored on May's single to take the lead for good.  KU added an insurance run in the seventh on Mike Kacelowicz's RBI single to drive in Brett Wigder.

Steve Craig started and went the first three innings, allowing three hits and two unearned runs.   Mike Bucklin (1-0) got the win, allowing just three hits over five scoreless innings of relief.  Justin Jachowicz pitched the ninth for his first save of the year.

KU will take the field again Friday for a key PSAC East doubleheader at West Chester, starting at 1 p.m.
