Ryan Vogelsong
made his Major League debut with the San Francisco Giants in
2000, appearing in 17 games before being traded to
Pittsburgh in 2001. An elbow injury cost him the 2002
season. He returned from the injury, and appeared in 101
games for the Pirates between 2003-06. In 2006, he signed
with the Hanshin Tigers of the Japanese Professional
Baseball League. He was inducted into KU’s Hall of Fame in
2005. |
Harry
Hoch
Pitcher (1904-07)Played in the Major Leagues early in
the 20th century. Hoch played for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1908. He then
appeared in 27 games for the St. Louis Browns over the 1914-15 seasons. Hoch was
inducted into KU’s Hall of Fame in 2005. |

Tim Bausher became KU’s third player on
an active Major League roster in 2005, when he was called up
to the Boston Red Sox for the day on April 29. In 2006,
Bausher was traded to the Cincinnati Reds organization, and
he spent time in 2007 in the Royals’ system.
