yards on its next possession, with the bulk coming on Wilson’s
68-yard scoring run.
Davis made it 14-7 early in the second quarter when he capped a
77-yard march with a 5-yard run.
After Amico’s interception gave Edinboro the ball, the Scots marched 80
yards on 11 plays to tie it on Harris’ 24-yard pass to Rich Cerro.
KU answered just before halftime with Spotts’ second TD pass to Onorato from 2 yards out.
Edinboro tied it on its first
possession of the third quarter, with Harris engineering a 77-yard
drive, capped by his 26-yard pas to Jeremy Burr. The Scot defense
clamped down, holding KU to just 7 yards in the third quarter. Edinboro took the lead on the sixth play of the fourth quarter, on
Harris’ 1-yard run.
KU’s offensive woes continued,
managing just 22 yards on its next two possessions. The Scots
scored what proved to be the game-winner after an 80-yard drive on
Harris 35-yard pass to Witucki.
The Golden Bears’ offense awoke,
driving 65 yards to the Edinboro eight. Spotts had four straight
incompletions, including a fourth down pass to Jason Uhlig, who made
the catch but couldn’t keep a foot in bounds.
Quiles returned a short Edinboro
punt to the Scots’ 34. Spotts passed once and scrambled three times
for 28 yards, including a 4-yard run for a TD with 1:02 left.

Ryan Nye bounced the ensuing onside kick to Edinboro’s Witucki,
but McKellar jarred the ball loose. Gardier recovered it, giving KU one last chance. A 24-yard pass from Spotts to Quiles
set the Bears up at the Edinboro 14. Spotts looked for Uhlig along
the sideline, but Uhlig tipped it into the hands of Skelton.
