INDIANA, Pa. - Tobias Robinson rushed for 215 yards and two
touchdowns to lead Indiana University of Pennsylvania to a 34-7 win
over Kutztown University in the season finale for both teams.
Kutztown (5-6) kept the game close until IUP scored 24 unanswered
points over the final 21:55.
Andrew Krewatch threw two touchdowns and Craig Burgess hit two
field goals for the Crimson Hawks (8-2). Akwasi Owuso-Ansah had two
interceptions and broke up another on a key play in the third
quarter. The Crimson Hawks took advantage of six KU turnovers in the
game.
Dontay Wilson ran for 97 yards on 12 carries and
Maurice Adams scored KU's only TD, a 7-yard run in the third
quarter.
Adams' TD pulled the Golden Bears within 10-7 with 10:23 to play
in the third.
Burgess' 28-yard field goal and Krewatch's 15-yard pass to Leo
Wood on IUP's next two possessions made it 20-7.
KU then drove to IUP's 13 before a sack pushed it back to the 23.
On fourth down, Shane Martin's pass to Kaleb Klosky
was broken up by Owuso-Ansah.
On the next play, Robinson scampered 77-yards for a touchdown.
IUP recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and Krewatch hit
Mychal Skinner form 6-yards out three plays later for a 34-7 lead.
In the first half, IUP took advantage of three KU interceptions
and a low punt snap to take a 10-0 lead.
After the low punt snap and loss of yardage gave IUP the ball at
KU's 43, Burgess hit a 28-yard field goal 11 plays later for a 3-0
lead. Owuso-Ansah's first interception and return gave the Hawks the
ball at KU's 25. On the next play, Robinson scored with 5:58 left in
the first.
KU kept the game close with takeaways of its own, with a fumble
recovery inside the 10 yard line and an interception by Cody Kohn
in the end zone. Another IUP drive into the red zone ended on a
fumbled field goal snap.
