against Cheyney. |
KUTZTOWN, PA. (October 4, 2009) –
Kutztown University junior kicker Matt Dineen (Wilmington,
DE/Concord) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division co-offensive player of the
week. Dineen made a Kutztown single-game record five field goals
during its 35-21 victory over Cheyney Saturday afternoon.
Dineen
also tied his school record for field goals made in a single
season with 13. Dineen made field goals of 41, 41, 29, 38 and 28
yards against Cheyney to improve to 13-for-14 on the season. He
has made at least one field goal in every game this season.
Dineen made three of his five field goals in the third quarter
against Cheyney to help Kutztown earn its first home victory of
the 2009 season.
Dineen
is the Kutztown career leader in field goals made with 31. He
recently surpassed Matt Scartozzi’s mark of 24 during the Golden
Bears game against Bloomsburg on Sept. 19.
Kutztown (3-3 overall, 1-2 in the PSAC East) travel to
Shippensburg Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
