(2-3) built a comfortable lead early, but KU (1-3) battled back
to cut it to three points when Max
Foye (so. Mountaintop/Crestwood) nailed a 3-pointer to make
it 28-25. However, two baskets from Daziah
Miller and a pair of 3s from Ryan Kraft and Alex Jones fueled a
12-0 run that allowed Shippensburg close out the half with
a 40-25 lead.
KU was even
with the Red Raiders in the second half as each team posted 39
points in the frame.
Kraft, who hit six
of Shippensburg’s eight 3-pointers, scored a game-high 20 points,
while Miller had 19 and Derrick Graff had 13.
Foye was the only
other KU player in double digits with 10 points. KU’s top three
scorers on the season, Stephen Dennis (so. West
Chester/Henderson), Dave Ben (jr. Coatesville/Coatesville)
and Sean McKeon (sr. Phoenixville/Phoenixville), were held to
a combined 20 points. Dennis and McKeon each had nine points.
Mark Bower (jr.
West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) came off the bench for the
Golden Bears to pull down 10 rebounds and score five points.
KU will travel to
