YORK, Pa. — The Kutztown University wrestling team used three pins to win 30-13 at York College Friday.

Brett Martinez (jr. Slatington/Northern Lehigh), Sonny Flood (sr. Southampton/William Tennent) and Robert Knopf (fr. Stroudsburg/Pocono Mountain East) all collected pins as KU (9-7-1) won six of the 10 bouts.

Martinez, at 149 pounds, pinned Albert Gleichauf, to give KU an 11-8 lead. Flood made it 21-11 with his pin of Alex Martocello at 174 pounds.

Knopf sealed the match at heavyweight with a pin of Shane Cooley in 6:39.

John Paukovits (so. Northampton/Northampton) recorded a technical fall in his 141-pound bout with Aaron Formanek, winning 16-0.

David Zeek (jr. Newtown/Council Rock North), at 165 pounds, picked up a major decision, winning 10-1 over Matt Heisey.

Scott Snyder (jr. Slatington/Northern Lehigh) decisioned James Laughlin 3-2 at 197.

KU will travel to Shippensburg to close out the regular season with a 7 p.m. match Tuesday.
