KUTZTOWN, Pa. (November 11, 2009) — The Kutztown University wrestling coaches and the wrestling club would like to thank the outcome for from the Free Coaches Development Clinic which took place at Keystone Arena last Sunday.

More than 40 coaches from around the Berks County area were in attendance, most of them coaches at the elementary and junior high levels. The clinic was run by the staff of head coach Rob Fisher and assistant coaches Kris Bellanca and Justin Kast.

The purpose of the coaches clinic and “The Golden Bear Wrestling Club”  is to help enrich the wrestling programs around the Berks County area.

Some of the areas covered in the clinic included: running a successful wrestling program, proper nutrition for wrestlers, drills, keeping the sport fun and many other.

"We want to help develop coaches in the area," said Fisher "Between the Wrestling Club and our coaches development clinic I feel we are working hard in the community to accomplish those goals."

The Golden Bear wrestling squad will begin their 2009-10 season on Saturday November 14 at the Washington and Jefferson Open.
