2009-10 Wrestling
KUTZTOWN, Pa. (October 22, 2009) — The Kutztown University
wrestling team is ranked No. 20 in the preseason NCAA Division II
Wrestling Coaches Association poll.

Fellow Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference schools Mercyhurst (No. 11) and Gannon
(No. 17) join the Golden Bears in the top-20. The 2009-10 Division
II Champion Nebraska-Omaha enters this season at the No. 1 spot.
In the 2008-09
season, the Golden Bears finished 10-7-1 with Joe Kemmerer
winning the national title in the 133-pound weight class for the
second time in three years.
Scott
Snyder (Slatington/Northern Lehigh),
John Paukovits (so. Northampton/Northampton)
and David
Zeek (Newtown/Council Rock North) each won more than 20
matches.
Individually, junior
transfer Chris Sheetz (Barto/Upper Perkiomen) ranks No. 8 in
the 125-pound weight class.
The Golden Bears
will start the 2009-10 season on Saturday November 14 at the
Washington & Jefferson Open.
