Bowling Green and Kutztown played a thriller that went right down to the wire before KU snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the dying minutes to win 27-23.

BGSU was up 23-21 with around three minutes to go, which is when the Golden Bears pulled it out of the fire with the game-winning try. Nick Viviani scored all of Bowling Green’s points via two tries, three penalty goals, and two conversions. Mike McNallen (2), Marco Cardillo, and Marco Barnard got on the score sheet for KU.

Kutztown plays St. Mary's in the quarterfinals Saturday.

Congratulations to the KU Men’s Rugby Team who, in championship play this past weekend in Richmond, Va., have advanced to the Sweet 16 in D1 collegiate rugby. KU and Penn State will be the two universities representing the Mid-Atlantic Region at the national playoffs.  KU is slated to play Bowling Green State University (the number one seed in the Mid-West Region) on April 18 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
