As A
Junior: Gorski was the ace of the pitching staff, with
an 8-2 record and an ERA of 2.17. He started in all 12 games
that he pitched in, with 3 complete games and one shutout
over 78 2/3 innings of work. Gorski struck out 100 batters
and held the opposition to just a .208 batting average. He
was listed in the preseason as the No. 4 pitching prospect in
Division II baseball. Gorski was named the Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the
Year. He struck out a season-high 15 batters in the
quarterfinals of the PSAC playoffs.

As A Sophomore: Gorski solidified his role as the ace of the
staff, going 8-4 with a 2.43 ERA. He started 12 games and
had seven complete games, including a shutout. He had a
team-high 83 strikeouts in 81 1/3 innings and 27 walks.
Opponents batted just .210 against him. Gorski was named the
PSAC East Pitcher of the Week twice en route to being
selected to the All-PSAC East first team. He led the Golden
Bears to the playoffs, going 5-0 in his last five PSAC East
regular season starts.
He had a 1.03 ERA in those five wins, striking out 34 and
limiting the opposition to 19 hits.
