Text Box: General Eligibility
All full-time undergraduate and graduate Kutztown University students, faculty and staff are eligible to participate in intramural sports.
KU ID is required to participate in Intramural Sports and must be presented at every event.

Varsity Intercollegiate Team Members
Varsity athletes will not be eligible to compete in the sport which they hold active varsity status or any counterparts of that sport. A person is considered to be a varsity member if he/she has practiced or competed with the varsity team. Members of varsity squads who are dropped from the squad as lacking in ability will be permitted to participate in intramurals. Members of varsity squads who leave their squad after the season has started will not be eligible to participate in their particular sport.

Professionals
A student barred from varsity athletics because of professionalism shall be barred from those branches of intramural sports in which he/she has broken amateur regulations for 5 years.

Entry Procedures
Each team captain is responsible for forming and entering his/her own team. The following procedures should be used for each activity:

1. Keep a watch for special notices which will be posted in Keystone Hall, various locations on campus, newspaper, dorm announcements, and word of mouth that provide information for each activity.

2. Obtain an intramural roster at the Recreation Services Office in Keystone Hall Room 124-B or online by downloading the IM roster form. Return the completed roster to the Recreation Office before the deadline date.
All names must be printed legibly and spelled correctly, (including proper first name)
Social security number and phone number must be complete and correct
All personal information will be kept confidential.
3. All team captains will be required to attend a captain's meeting. At the captain's meeting, captains will be instructed on the policies and rules of the particular sport. Game schedules will be handed out.
Intramurals reserves the right to change any team name which it finds to be offensive or in bad taste.
Forfeits
Forfeits are detrimental to the entire program and are an injustice to participants who want to play. Teams/Individuals must be ready to play at the scheduled time. If a team/individual does not appear on time, a win by forfeit will be accredited to their opponent. GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME! Teams/Individuals who forfeit twice (2) during a season will be dropped from the league.
