12/19 — Kutztown 95, Slippery Rock 88 (2 OT) - Kutztown
scored all 12 of its points in the second overtime from the free
throw line to defeat Slippery Rock, 95-88, Tuesday night. KU
was 12-of-14 from the line in the second extra period,
attempting just one field goal.
Andre Woodlin’s (so. Philadelphia/Central) pair of free
throws with 1:44 remaining tied the score at 87 all, while
Stephen Dennis (fr. West
Chester/Henderson) was 1-for-2 with 52 seconds left to
give KU the lead for good.
Woodlin was 4-for-4 in the final 35 seconds to help
preserve the win. Sean McKeon
(jr. Pheonixville/Phoenixville) led five Golden Bears in
double figures with 20 points.
Dave Ben (so. Coatesville/Coatesville) and
Max Foye (fr.
Mountaintop/Crestwood) scored 17 each, while
Woodlin added 15 and
Dennis scored 14.
Kutztown sent the game to overtime when
Ben hit a three pointer
with 12 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 68.
WED 12/20 — Edinboro 75,
Kutztown 62 - Kutztown’s five-game winning streak was
snapped with a 75-62 loss at Edinboro in a Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference crossover Wednesday night.
McKeon scored 18 points
and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Kutztown.
Ben added 16 points,
while Woodlin scored 10.
Edinboro built a three-point halftime lead into a 46-36 edge
with 13:54 remaining. KU stormed back with a 9-0 run to make it
46-45. KU would later tie the score twice, the second on a
layup by Dennis to make
it 57 all with 5:50 left. The Scots, though, scored the next
eight points to pull away.

onto a first-half lead, falling to Slippery Rock, 63-51, in a
Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference crossover. KU led 29-25 at halftime and led by as
many as nine in the second half before SRU stormed back. A 17-2
run erased KU’s 42-33 lead with 12:19 left and gave the Rock a
50-44 advantage with 7:10 remaining. the Bears
got no closer than four points down the rest of the way.
Mercedes Van Wagner (jr.
Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) scored 17 points and
grabbed six rebounds for Kutztown.
Jess Brady (sr.
Wescoesville/Emmaus) added 13 points and four assists.
WED 12/20 — Edinboro 77,
Kutztown 68 — Edinboro pulled away late in a 77-68
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover win over
Kutztown Wednesday night. Kutztown had three players score in
double figures, led by Rachel
Weidensaul (jr. Ashland/Cardinal Brennan) with 13. Lara
Dellegrotti (so. Berwick/Berwick) added 12 and
Van Wagner scored 10
points and hauled in eight rebounds. Kutztown led 28-25 at
halftime and the score was tied, 39-39 with 15:39 to play before
Edinboro started to pull away. The Scots used a 13-2 run over
the next five minutes for a 52-41 lead. KU cut away at the
lead, as Dellegrotti’s
three pointer with 5:04 left made it 58-54. The Bears came no
closer, and Edinboro was 9-for-10 at the line in the final
minute.
