scored a game-high 21 points for KU. He went 7-for-8 from the
line.
McKeon also
had six blocks.
Stephen Dennis (fr. West Chester/Henderson)
notched 16 while
Nate Edwards (fr. Philadelphia/North Catholic)

SAT 2/10 —
Bloomsburg 82, Kutztown 80
– A late run by Bloomsburg was enough to defeat Kutztown,
82-80. Kutztown led 80-65 with 4:00 minutes left in the game,
but KU committed nine turnovers and seven fouls and would not
score another point.
McKeon led
the Golden Bears with 24 points, eight rebounds and four
blocks.
Dennis
scored 18 while

- The men’s
indoor track and field team placed fourth as they hosted the
PSAC East Challenge. Shippensburg was first with 195.5 points.
East Stroudsburg placed second with 114, West Chester third was
with 103. Kutztown was fourth with 78 points. Millersville
came in fifth with 61. Cheyney was sixth with 59.5 and
Bloomsburg was seventh with 32 points.

pole vault with a height of 14-3.
Steve Tyson (jr.
Bridgeport/Upper Merion)
came in first in the shot put with a NCAA Provisional throw of
52-10.
Cody Hartzler (so.

finished third in the high jump with a height of 6-7.
John Pyne (so.
Harrisburg/Bishop McDevitt)
placed third in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:30.22. The
Distance Medley relay team of Ben Loht (fr. Lewistown/Indian
Valley), Ian Clark (jr. Troy, NH/Mohandock Regional), Pat
McKeever (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) and Dan
Wilde (sr. Lemoyne/Cedar Cliff) was third with a time of
11:05.51.

- The
women’s indoor track and field team placed first at the PSAC
East Challenge with 154.17 points. Shippensburg came in second
with 124 points and East Stroudsburg finished third with 114.33
points. West Chester was fourth (81), Millersville fifth (62),
Bloomsburg sixth (57.5) and Cheyney seventh (9). Highlights for
the women include

finishing first in the 3000-meter run (10:31.74).

Columbus (GA) State 2, Kutztown
0 - KU again
fell behind 2-0, while
Willmer's
single in the sixth inning broke up Columbus State's no-hit bid
and proved to be KU's only base knock of the game.
Arbogast
(0-2) took the loss, despite striking out seven and allowing
just two hits and two unearned runs.
Columbus
(GA) State 13, Kutztown 2 (5 inn.)
- Columbus State opened up the offense with 13 runs on 15 hits.
KU snapped its 15-inning scoring drought to start the season
with a run in the second and one in the third.

Spot) was
2-for-2 with a run, while
Spalik was
1-for-2 with an RBI.

SUN 2/11— Kutztown 13, Georgia College & State University 6
- KU rapped out 13 hits en route to the seven-run victory. Up
7-5 in the seventh, KU scored six runs, including a grand-slam
by
Ashley Fitzgerald (so.
Kitchener,
ONT/Resurrection),
to put the game out of reach.
Fitzgerald
also had a double in the game.
Arbogast was
the winning pitcher, going all seven innings with three
strikeouts.
Augusta (GA) State 4, Kutztown 3
- Augusta State defeated KU for the second time this weekend.
Down 2-0 in the bottom of the first, KU took the lead on a
two-run double by
Krista Cameron (so.
Formosa, ONT/Sacred
Heart)
in the
bottom half of the first. The Jaguars tied it in the third then
took the lead for good in the fifth.
Arbogast
relieved
Bennett the
first inning and struck out four over the next 6.1, allowing two
runs in the loss.
