Men’s Basketball (17-11, 6-6 PSAC East)

       TUE 2/28 — CHEYNEY 79, KUTZTOWN 63 – Kutztown fell to Cheyney, 79-63, PSAC quarterfinal contest.  The game was played in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 2,200 at Keystone Hall, which hosted its first-ever PSAC men's basketball playoff game.  Stephen Dennis (fr. West Chester/Henderson) was 13-for-16 from the charity line en route to his 19 points.  He pulled in eight rebounds.  Dave Ben (so. Coatesville/Coatesville) added 18 points for Kutztown and grabbed seven boards.

FRI 3/2-SUN 2/4 — at Catawba Tournament

SAT 3/3 — Kutztown 4, Mars Hill 1 - Kutztown won, 4-1, over Mars Hill at the Catawba Tournament.  Kaitlin Arbogast (fr. Ambler/Wissahickon) pitched seven innings, striking out 10 batters, for the win.  Ashley Fitzgerald (so. Kitchener, ONT/Resurrection) (2-for-2) hit a solo home run in the bottom of the third inning for Kutztown's fourth run.  Maria Schiavo (fr. Old Forge/Old Forge), Caitlin Hague (jr. Lansdale/North Penn) and Kim Morrison (so. Newmarket, ONT/Sir William Mulock) each had doubles. Schiavo knocked in two RBIs.

Francis Marion 3, Kutztown 0 - Kutztown lost to Francis Marion, 3-0.  Arbogast started the game for KU and went four innings, striking out four.  Steph Denlinger (so. Harleysville/Souderton) pitched two innings in relief.  Krista Cameron (so. Formosa, ONT/Sacred Heart) had a double for the Golden Bears.

SUN 3/4 — Kutztown 11, Limestone 1 (6 inn.) - KU defeated Limestone, 11-1 in six innings.  Lindsay Bennett (jr. Rising Sun, MD/Rising Sun) was 2-for-3 with four RBI. Adriane Willmer (sr. Kitchener, ONT/Resurrection) was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Schiavo was 1-for-2 with two RBI.  Arbogast struck out 8 over the final three innings to pick up the win. 

Kutztown 7, Pfeiffer 0 - KU downed Pfeiffer 7-0.  Arbogast pitched a shutout in the second game to lead KU to the 7-0 win over Pfeiffer.  Arbogast struck out 10 and allowed just three hits.  Fitzgerald was 2-for-3, including a solo homer in the second.  Jennie Lincoln (jr. Stafford, VA/North Stafford) belted a grand slam and Sam Flowers (jr. Harleysville/Souderton) hit a solo shot in the sixth as KU broke it open.  Flowers was 2-for-3.
