was 2-for-3 with three
runs.

held to four hits and shut out by Adelphi in a non-conference game

FRI 4/18 - East Stroudsburg 2, KU 1
— The Warriors took an
early lead and held on to win the first game of a PSAC East
doubleheader.
Jeff
Kistle (r-fr. Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny)
reached on an error and
scored on a double-steal.
Philip Rummel (sr. Exeter/West-Mont Christian)
took the loss, but held
the Warriors to two runs — both unearned — on six hits. He struck
out seven.
FRI 4/18 - KU 11, East Stroudsburg 6
—
Kacelowicz was
4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs to lead KU to a win in game two
at East Stroudsburg.
Kulbacki was
3-for-3 with two runs, while
Scott

Darin
Gorski (so. Mount Joy/Donegal)
collected a three-hit
shutout in the first game of the Golden Bears’ doubleheader against
the Warriors at North Campus Field.
Gorski struck out
seven and allowed just three hits to collect his fifth complete game
of the season. It was his first shutout victory and his seventh win
overall.
Mike
Kacelowicz and
Lightcap had
back-to-back singles, and scored on an RBI double
Frey.
SAT 4/19 - KU 10, East Stroudsburg 3
— The Golden Bears’ bats
came alive in the second game of their doubleheader with the
Warriors at North Campus Field.
Lightcap went
2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Mike
Kacelowicz
reached base in all four at-bats with two walks and two doubles. He
also had an RBI and a run scored.
Frey
was 1-for-2 with a two-RBI double and a run scored.
Renda
went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. KU starting pitcher
Derick Reis (sr. Jim Thorpe/Jim Thorpe)
allowed three early runs
in the first inning, but settled down from there and held the
Warriors scoreless the next four innings.

The Golden Bears placed
fourth at the California (Pa.) Invitational with a score of 696.
California (Pa.) won with a score of 661, while Humber was second
with 682 and St. Francis (Pa.) third with 683. Northwood (Mich.) and
West Liberty tied for fifth with 726. Tiffin (747), Ohio Valley
(767), Franklin & Marshall (840) and West Chester (845) rounded out
the top 10.
Krista Tressler (so. Fayetteville/Heritage Academy)
led the Golden Bears with an 11th-place finish (85-88—173),
while
Angie
Petak (sr. Brockway/Brockway)
and
Samantha Rumbley (fr. Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright)
tied for 14th with a
two-day total of 174.
Kelli
Pry (fr. Coatesville/Coatesville)

FRI-SAT 4/18-4/19 —
The Golden Bears finished second at the KU Spring Invitational at
Golden Oaks Golf Club. St. Francis won the team title with a 36-hole
score of 651. KU had a 683, well ahead of third-place McDaniel
(737). Mount St. Mary’s (745) and West Chester (768) rounded out the
team scores. Individually for KU,
Pry
finished fourth with a score of 166 on the par-72, 6,057-yard
course.
Tressler was
fifth with a 167, while
Petak
was seventh at 175.
Rumbley rounded
out KU’s team score with a 179 for 10th place.
Foulke tied for
11th, carding a 180.
Tressler’s 80 on
Friday was KU’s low round in the tourney.

KU outscored the
Warriors 8-6 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a
15-1 halftime deficit at Eiler-Martin Stadium on the campus of East
Stroudsburg University.
Carrie Healey (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North)
registered three goals
and two assists, while
Janice Kinney (Spring City/Owen J. Roberts)
also had three goals to
account for six of KU’s nine tallies on the day. Also scoring for KU

an end with a loss at Georgian Court.
Healey had a goal
and two assists for the Golden Bears. She finished the season as
KU’s top scorer with 23 goals and 13 assists.

Fitzgerald was
3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs as the Golden Bears completed
their sweep of Mansfield. She hit a two-run homer in the seventh.
Denlinger was
walked four times, scoring three runs.

scattered three hits over five innings, striking out two, while
Glomb
allowed one hit over two innings with two strikeouts.
FRI 4/18 - Bloomsburg 5, KU 2
— KU scored two runs on
six hits, and committed two costly errors, as it dropped game one of
the doubleheader. KU’s lone runs of the game came off the bat of
Denlinger, as she
blasted a two-run opposite field homer in the home half of the sixth
inning. She drove in
Kim
Morrison (Newmarket, ONTARIO/Sir William Mulock).
Kathy
Gregg (sr. Narvon/Garden Spot)
went 2-for-3 with a single and a double.
FRI 4/18 - Bloomsburg 4, Kutztown 1
—
KU had seven
hits, but Bloomsburg came out on top and completed its sweep with a
win at North Campus Field.
Fitzgerald had
the lone RBI in the game for the Golden Bears, driving in
Morrison in the
home half of the fifth inning on a single.
Gregg
was 2-for-3 with a single and double, while
Maria
Schiavo (Old Forge/Old Forge)
was 2-for-3 with two
singles for the Golden Bears.
SAT 4/19 - KU 10, East Stroudsburg 1 (6 inn.)
—
Caitlin Hague (sr. Lansdale/North Penn)
led KU in a big win over East Stroudsburg in the first game of their
doubleheader at Zimbar Field. KU had six players finish with
multiple hits as the Golden Bears scored 10 runs over the final four
innings to enact the mercy rule.
Hague
led KU, going 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Schiavo went
3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Cameron and
Denlinger each
had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Fitzgerald
finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. The double was the
21st on the season for
Fitzgerald,
breaking her own school record set last season.
Reifsnyder, who
also had a double, went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Morrison and
Gregg
both went 1-for-3
with two runs scored.
Arbogast held the
Warriors one run — it was unearned — on four hits and three walks.
She had nine strikeouts en route to her 18th win of the season.

Gregg
led the Golden Bears to a win in the second game of their
doubleheader with the Warriors at Zimbar Field. Both
Tedjeske and
Gregg
went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Tedjeske also
scored two runs for the Golden Bears.
Hague
finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Glomb
pitched 4.1 innings of shutout ball, holding the Warriors to just
two hits.

SAT 4/19 - KU men at East Stroudsburg All-America Meet
— KU collected six
first-place finishes at the East Stroudsburg All-America Meet.
Vonkurt Redley (sr. Philadelphia/Cheltenham)
led the way with top finishes in the 110-meter hurdles (14.92) and
the 400 hurdles (54.63).
Patrick Bone (sr. Doylestown/Central Bucks West)
took first in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:59.40), while
Chris
Boutsikaris (so. Andover, N.J./Newtown)
and
Jim
Dart (sr. Havertown/Haverford)
each collected first-place finishes in the field. Boutsikaris won
the javelin (186-2). Dart took the top spot in the discus (157-5
3/4) and finished second in the shot put (51-3 3/4). Dart also
placed second in the hammer throw with a throw of 160-9.
Jason
Rebuck (so. Southampton/William Tennent)
won the hammer throw (133-0 1/4), and also placed fifth in the

SAT 4/19 - KU men at East Stroudsburg All-America Meet
— The Kutztown
University women’s outdoor track and field team collected six
first-place finishes Saturday at the East Stroudsburg All-America
Meet. Four of the event-winners were in the field, with
Kelly
Strickland (so. Bear, Del./Caravel Academy),
Michelle Hughes (sr. Warminster/William Tennent),
Alex
Butler (jr. Montoursville/Montoursville)
and
Ashley Pinter (fr. Bethlehem/Liberty)
each winning their respective events. Strickland was first in the
pole vault (10-6), while Butler took the top spot in the long jump
(16-11). Hughes won the shot put (38-2 3/4) and Pinter won the
hammer throw (147-10). Hughes also placed second in the hammer throw
(144-2), and Pinter was second in the shot put (38-0 3/4).
Keri
Brown (fr. Southampton, N.J./Seneca)
and
Joanna Horstmann (jr. Downingtown/Downingtown West)
also collected first-place victories, with Brown winning the 800
(2:19.02) and Horstmann winning the 1,500 (4:51.61). KU swept the
top three spots in the pole vault and the long jump.
Rachel Weigle (so. Red Lion/Red Lion)
placed second in the pole vault (10-0), while
Alison Wise (so. Denver/Garden Spot)
was third (10-0).
Laura
Deller (sr. York/Dallastown)
was second in the long jump (16-2 1/2) and
Kayla
Greaves (fr. Exton/Downingtown East)
was third (15-11). Deller also placed sixth in the 100 dash (13.30).
Katie
Colburn (fr. Hanover/South Western)
placed in multiple events, taking second in the 400 hurdles
(1:06.56) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (16.31).
Samirah Barczynski (so. Mohnton/Governor Mifflin)
placed second in the 100 dash (12.86) and fifth in the 200 dash
(27.26).
Allison Kipp (jr. Bethlehem/Saucon Valley)
also placed in two events, finishing fifth in the javelin (105-3)
and sixth in the hammer throw (109-11 3/4).
Rebekah Leitzel (fr. Spring Mills/Penns Valley)
took second in the javelin (123-5 1/2), while
Christina Reimer (fr. Chester Springs/Downingtown East)
was second in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:48.93).
Lynn
Lisofsky (fr. Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin)
and
Jessica Donovan (jr. Newtown/Pennsbury)
placed in the 400 hurdles, with Lisofsky placing third (1:07.10) and
Donovan sixth (1:07.85). In the 3,000,
Hailey Dell (jr. Saranac Lake, N.Y./Saranac Lake)
was third (11:05.75) and
Cheryl Dingman (jr. Lansdale/North Penn)
was sixth (11:30.93).
Jennifer Zook (fr. Lewistown/Indian Valley)
tied for third in the high jump (4-10 1/4).
Heather Spangenberg (so. Clarks Summit/Abington Heights)
placed fourth in the 400 (1:01.82), while
Jessica Schlechter (so. Chalfont/Central Bucks South)
was fourth in the 800 (2:25.93). In the 1,500,
Jolene Collins (so. Palmyra/Palmyra)
