career day and
Melissa McQuade (so. Pittsburgh/Shaler)
kicked off
the season with a double-double as KU defeated Slippery Rock in the
Golden Bear Classic at Keystone Hall.
Dellegrotti
posted a career-best 21 points. She went 6-for-7 from the line and
had three 3-pointers.
McQuade
finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, to go with her five assists
and five steals.
Meredith Starr (so. Richmond, Va./Monacan)
had seven
points for KU, and
Rachel Wisemiller (jr. Hazleton/Hazleton)
had four
points, four assists and six rebounds.
SUN 11/16 — KU 86, Pitt-Johnstown 72 —
McQuade
headlined a game filled with career highs as KU rallied in the
second half to defeat the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in the
final game of the Golden Bear Classic at Keystone Hall.
McQuade
scored a career-high 30 points and had another personal-best going
10-for-10 from the free-throw line, helping KU overcome a 31-24
halftime deficit. The All-Classic MVP also had four 3-pointers and
14 rebounds. KU shot 67.7 percent from the field in the second half.
Wisemiller
finished with 21 points and
Chauntelle
Schroeder (jr. Toronto, Ont./Mother Theresa)
had a career-high 19 to go with her personal-best 10 rebounds.
Wisemiller,
who hit four 3-pointers en route to tying her career-high in points,
recorded personal-best marks in rebounds with eight and steals with
four. She was named to the All-Classic team.
Dellegrotti
finished with nine points and five assists.
Starr
had five points and six assists.

SAT-SUN 11/15-16 — KU 5-1 at Northeast Conference Meet #1 —
No. 16 KU swept their
matches on the first day and went 2-1 in the second day of the
Northeast Conference Meet at Sacred Heart University. The Golden
Bears defeated Long Island University 1,715-950, winning the team
game 970-905 and all four baker games. KU defeated No. 13 Adelphi
1,734-1,712. The team game score was 915-905, but Adelphi took three
of the four baker games. The Golden Bears topped No. 6 ranked Sacred
Heart 1,984-1,768. KU also defeated St. Francis 1,658-1,515 (899-871
team game, 759-644 baker games) and St. Peter’s 1,583-1,450
(899-793, 684-657). In KU’s only loss, Fairleigh Dickinson won
1,940-1,777 (969-962, 971-815).
Kayla
Jones (fr. Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop)
led KU with an average
of 219 over six games, including a high-game of 247.
Jacquelyn Heimbach (sr. Easton/Easton)
set a career-high with
her 257 against Sacred Heart, while averaging a 205 at the meet.
Stephanie Ray (so. West Lawn/Wilson)
averaged a 192.6 and
also set a career-high mark with a 244.
Chelsea Adam (fr. Reading/Exeter)
averaged a 195.5 over four games.

won four events and set
three pool records to lead the KU women’s team to a sweep of PSAC
foes Indiana (Pa.) and Lock Haven.
Jeppesen set LHU
pool records in the 100 breast (1:07.17, also an NCAA-B cut time),
the 200 breast (2:27.69) and the 400 medley relay (4:07.47). She
teamed with
Allison Sheely (so. Enola/Trinity),
Laura
Heebner (sr. Easton/Easton)
and
Jordan Shapiro (fr. Trenton N.J./Princeton)
on the medley relay.
Jeppesen also won
the 200 IM (2:15.53). Other event winners for KU included

won the 133-pound bracket at the 2008 East Stroudsburg Open, while

placed fifth.
Kemmerer cruised
through his bracket, not allowing a single point in four matches. He
won by major decision in each of his first three bouts before
winning 1-0 in the final.
Snyder went 4-1
in the 197-pound bracket, advancing to the championship semifinals,
before falling 12-6. In consolations, he won two matches, including
the third-place match 4-3.
Chambers placed
fifth in the 157-pound bracket after losing in overtime in the
championship quarterfinals.
Chambers battled
back with two consolation victories. He lost 12-4 in the consolation
semifinals, but bounced back again winning the fifth-place bout 4-1.
