Cross Country

Last Week’s Action

       SAT 10/17 — at Lafayette Leopard Invitational — Kristin Cupido (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan)  finished third overall and first for KU with at time of 21:44.9 as the women's team finished in 2nd place. Cristina Reimer (Chester Spring/Downingtown East) placed 10th, recording a time of 22:32.2 Maureen Watson (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic) had a time of 22:33.6 for 11th place. Steph Grimm (Fleetwood/Oley Valley) placed 13th (22:41.70) and freshman Becca Brandt (Cleona/Cedar Crest) grabbed 15th place in 22:48.30. For the men’s team, Ben Loht (Lewistown/Indian Valley) finished first for KU, crossing the line 21st with a time of 26:54.20. Ryan Reich (Oley/Oley Valley) finished in 27:19.50 for 29th place. Kevin Rodgers (Clifton Heights/Upper Darby) placed 32nd with at time of 27:26.20. Eli Weeks (Pottstown/Owen J. Roberts) finished in 28:01.40 for 42nd place.

Field Hockey (11-6, 3-3 PSAC East)

Last Week’s Action

       TUE 10/13 — KU 3, EAST STROUDSBURG 1 — Anne Waapu (Hastings, NEW ZEALAND) scored on a penalty corner from Abbey Sheeler (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) in KU's win over East Stroudsburg. Sheeler also scored an unassisted goal late in the game. Lauren Solley (Oley/Oley Valley) added an unassisted goal. Megan West (Georgetown, Del./Sussex Central) made a defensive save early in the first half to keep KU in the lead. Emily Falko (Catasauqua/Catasauqua) made six saves.

       SAT 10/17 — KU 7, SETON HILL 1 — Courtney Zook (Oley/Oley Valley) scored two goals in a win over Seton Hill. Carrie Healey (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) added an assist on Zook's second goal. Katie Brautigan (Tulpehocken/Bernville) scored off of a penalty stroke. Jenna Gregory (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) had two goals and an assist. Sheeler had one goal and one assist. Solley scored her team-leading 13th goal of the season. Falko pitched a shut out in the first half, making five saves. Karly Waltman (Birdsboro/Twin Valley) made three saves in the second half.

Women’s Soccer (11-2-2, 6-1-1 PSAC East)

Last Week’s Action

       WED 10/14 — KU 3, Shepherd 0 — Alyssa Hackelberg (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) broke the KU women’s soccer record for most shutouts in a season with nine in a win over Shepherd. Hackelberg made three saves in the game. Stephanie Barnett (Blandon/Fleetwood) scored two goals and added an assist. Julia DiFerdinando (Chadds Ford/Garnet Valley) had a goal. Jen Pyne (Wall Township, NJ/Wall) and Emily Froehlich (Perkasie/Pennridge) each added assists.

       SAT 10/17 — at Shippensburg — Hackelberg made one save and added to her KU women’s soccer record for most shutouts in a season with 10. Chelsea Bressler (Cleona/Annville-Cleona), Molly Cooper (Palmyra/Palmyra), Sarah Black (Hershey/Lower Dauphin) and Barnett each scored goals for KU. Kelly Bushe (Neptune City, NJ/Neptune) and Kelly Rozembersky (Roxbury, NJ/Roxbury) added assists for KU.

Women’s Volleyball (11-9, 4-8 PSAC)

Last Week’s Action

       FRI 10/16 — KU 3, MILLERSVILLE 1 — Kelsey Nester (Catasauqua/Catasauqua) led KU with 11 kills. Lindsay Confer (Wingate/Bald Eagle Area) had 10 kills. Dana Wright (Warminster/Saint Basil Academy) had 18 assists and 11 digs.

       SAT 10/17 — KU 3, SHIPPENSBURG 0 — Confer led KU with eights kills in a win over Millersville. Jamie Celia (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) led KU with 24 digs. Nester had six kills and 18 digs.
