Stephen Dennis, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dennis enjoyed a tremendous week in which he averaged 38.5 points while making two-thirds of his shots from the field (26-for-39) and over 80 percent of his free throws (15-for-21) to help the Golden Bears improve their overall record to 14-0 and remain the only undefeated team in the PSAC. Against previously unbeaten and 24th-ranked East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Dennis went for a career-high 42 points in the 87-84 win. He also tied the school record by making 16 free throws in the game.

Past KU Student Bookstore Athletes of the Week

1/18 — Stephen Dennis, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dennis enjoyed a tremendous week in which he averaged 38.5 points while making two-thirds of his shots from the field (26-for-39) and over 80 percent of his free throws (15-for-21) to help the Golden Bears improve their overall record to 14-0 and remain the only undefeated team in the PSAC. 1/10 Stephen Dennis, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dennis started off the week with a game winning jumper with 1.8 seconds left on Tuesday against Goldey-Beacom. He finished the game with 22 points. Dennis followed that up with a 29 point, 15 rebound effort in a win over Edinboro. He capped his stellar week with 26 points in the Golden Bears win over Lock Haven. 

1/04 — Ryan Washington, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Washington tallied a double-double in a win over Gannon with a career-high 31 points and 13 rebounds. He added another 31 points in a win over Clarion on 13-of-14 shooting from the floor.

12/13 — Ryan Washington, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Washington had his second double-double of the season, with an 18 point, 11 rebound effort in a win at the University of District of Columbia. Through five games, Washington is second on the team with a 20.0 points per game average and leads the Golden Bears with an 8.6 rebounds per game average.

12/06 — Stephen Dennis, of the men's basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dennis scored a game high of 30 points against the University of Sciences on Saturday. Dennis scored 22 of his game-high 30 points in the second half to move into second place on the Kutztown men’s basketball all-time scoring list. Dennis finished the game with seven rebounds, four steals, four assists and four blocked shots. Dennis was also 16-for-18 from the foul line. Thirteen of his foul shots came in the final eight minutes as Kutztown broke a 50-50 tie for the 78-66 win.

11/30 — John Paukovits, of the wrestling team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Paukovits won his dual matches against Delaware Valley and Elizabethtown this past week. In his win against Elizabethtown, Paukovits earned a 14-0 major decision to give the Golden Bears an early lead.

11/23 — Julius Gray, of the men’s basketball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Gray scored 21 points in the Golden Bear's 95-61 season opening win on Tuesday November 18. Gray scored 19 of his career-best 21 points in the first half on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor. Gray also finished with four assists, two rebounds and two steals.

11/16 — Chelsea Adam, of the women’s bowling team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Adam rolled three games over 200, including a high of 222. She averaged a 181.8 to help the Golden Bears finish 5-2 and tied for the tournament lead at the Northeast Conference Meet.

11/09 — Chelsea Bressler, of the women’s soccer team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Bressler scored a goal in a win over East Stroudsburg in the quarterfinal round of the PSAC playoffs. She scored the game winner in a 1-0 win over California to send the Golden Bears to the PSAC finals.

11/02 — Steph Jeppesen, of the women’s swim team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Jeppesen was a multiple winner on Friday and Saturday at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. She had a time of 55.63 in the 100-free and 2:26.66 in the 100-breast. In the 200 medley relay, Jeppesen and her team finished first with a time of 1:53.97.

10/26 — Kevin Morton, of the football team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Morton threw for a career-high 324 yards and four touchdowns Morton became the first KU quarterback to throw for 300 yards and four touchdowns in a game since 2007.

10/19 — Alyssa Hackelberg, of the women's soccer team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Hackelberg broke the single-season shutout record (10) in a win over Shepherd. She extended her shutout streak to seven straight games and hasn’t allowed a goal in 680 minutes.

10/12 — Kaushik Das, of the men's tennis team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Das won both the singles and doubles championship at the PSAC Individual Championships. He defeated teammate Jonathan Goulet in the singles final and teamed with Arpit Sharma to win the doubles.

10/05 — Matt Dineen, of the football team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dineen made a KU single-game record five field goals during its 35-21 victory over Cheyney Saturday afternoon. Dineen also tied his school record for field goals in a single season with 13. Dineen made field goals of 41, 41, 29, 38 and 28 yards against Cheyney to improve to 13-for-14 on the season. He was named co-offensive PSAC.

9/28 — Arpit Sharma, of the men's tennis team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Sharma remains in the hunt for the championship at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional in both singles and doubles. Sharma won 7-5, 6-4 in singles and in doubles, paired with Jonathon Goulet, won 8-4 as the number one seed.

9/21 —  Matt Dineen, of the football team, is this week’s KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Dineen kicked two field goals against Bloomsburg to give him the KU career record with 25.

9/14 — Lindsay Confer, of the women's volleyball team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Confer helped lead the Golden Bears to a perfect week with a shutout win at Lincoln and three shutout wins at the Kutztown Challenge. Confer had 17 kills and a .285 kill percentage. She also had eight digs.

9/06 — Lauren Solley, of the field hockey team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Solley scored a career-high five goals in a win over Catawba College in the Joshua W. Wesner Memorial Tournament. Solley finished the tournament with six goals and an assist, she was selected to the All-Tournament team.

8/31 — Shannon Pennock, of the women’s soccer team, is this week’s KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week. Pennock scored a game winning overtime goal against No. 8 in the nation Mercyhurst.
