STANDINGS
READING, Pa. —
The Kutztown University women’s bowling team opened up the 2008-09
season with five wins at the Kutztown Duals Saturday at Berks Lanes.
KU (5-0) won all four of its traditional matches and a baker match.
The Golden Bears picked up wins over St. Peters (951-905), Cheyney
(893-449), Lincoln (867-553) and St. Francis (894-790). KU also won
680-585 over St. Francis in their baker match.
Kayla Stamm (so. Mohnton/Governor Mifflin)
led the Golden Bears with a 206 against St. Peters and a 186 against
St. Francis.
Chelsea Adam (fr. Reading/Exeter)
also had a great debut for KU, rolling KU’s best game of the
day, a 222 against Lincoln. She also had a 198 and a 166. Sixteen of
KU’s 20 scores Saturday were 170 or better.
KU will compete again on Oct. 31 at the Fairleigh Dickinson
Invitational at Elmwood Park, N.J. The invite is a three-day event,
kicking off at noon on Oct. 31.
