Day 2 recap: The Kutztown University women's bowling team wrapped up the Northeast Conference Meet No. 2 Sunday with three more wins to complete a perfect weekend at St. Francis.

The Golden Bears (72-32) are now 11-1 in the NEC and atop the standings.

KU opened the day with a match against Adelphi, winning 1,630-1,596. The Golden Bears, led by Jacquelyn Heimbach's 209, won the traditional match 873-835. KU lost the baker match by four, 761-757, but still came out on top with a higher overall score.

The Golden Bears also picked up wins against St. Francis, 1,668-1,512, and Sacred Heart, 1,753-1,528.

In their traditional match against Sacred Heart, Steph Ray rolled KU's highest game of the day, 232.

Heimbach led the Golden Bears on the weekend, knocking down 1,172 pins in six games for a 195.3 average. Kayla Stamm averaged a 193.0 over six games and Ray averaged 190.2 in five games.

Day 1 recap: Kutztown swept three matches at the second Northeast Conference meet of the season at St. Francis Saturday.

Kutztown opened with a 1,730-1,629 win over second-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson.  The No. 8 Golden Bears were led by Jacquelyn Heimbach's 209 and Kayla Stamm's 202.  KU outscored FDU 940-932 in the traditional match, then rolled a 790-697 win in the four-game baker match.

KU the defeated Saint Peter's 1,581-1,452.  In the final match of the day, Kutztown rolled a 1,620-1,240 win over Long Island.  KU's highest individual game of the day was rolled by Courtney Woytko vs. LIU.  The freshman carded a 212, a personal best at KU.

KU improved to 69-32 overall 8-1 in the NEC.  Action concludes Sunday with matches against Adelphi, Sacred Heart and Saint Francis.
