Kutztown (34-25, 5-2) finished with an overall tournament record of 3-7 record. In the second day of the tournament, Kutztown went 2-3.

 In the two baker matches that counted for total pins, the Golden Bears beat St. Francis 722-686 but lost to New Jersey City 784-712. In the remaining matches, the best of seven baker, Kutztown won against Hampton 4-3 and lost to St. Peters 4-3, and St. Francis 4-2.

"Our girls really showed up Sunday, and unfortunately, we have no defense in our sport, and sometimes other teams just bowl better," head coach Joe Ambrose said. 

Kutztown had three players with 19+ Baker Frame Averages, and four players who filled 81% or more of their bowled frames.

"Normally those numbers will win you a lot of matches," Ambrose said. "Unfortunately, we have no defense in our sport, and sometimes other teams just bowl better." 

The previous day, which consisted of traditional style bowling, Kutztown won their first match 894-796 against Hampton before losing their next three matches. Kutztown was defeated by Adelphi 911-807, Norfolk State 936-913, St. Peter's 997-902, and Fairleigh Dickinson 965-841.

"We have a lot of work to do to recover from a 3-7 weekend, but we certainly can do it, and having our next event at our home center will help us to do that," head coach Joe Ambrose said.
