Lauren Solley (jr. Oley/Oley Valley) scored two goals and
Julie Rosenkaimer (fr. Lansdale/North Penn) scored a goal
and had an assist to lead Kutztown to a 6-2 win over C.W. Post in a
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game
at University Field.
Abbey Sheeler
(so. Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights),
Carrie Healey (jr. Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) and
Lyndsay Butler
(sr. Annandale, N.J./Summit)
also scored goals for KU (13-3, 5-2 PSAC
East).
Kelley Healey
(sr. Toms River, N.J./Toms River North)
and Holly Hubbard had assists.
Amanda Nann had both goals for the
Pioneers (8-6, 2-4 PSAC East).
Sheeler started the scoring 4:37 into
the game, dribbling all the way from midfield into the circle and
scoring unassisted.
After Nann tied it at the 14:44 mark, KU
struck twice in less than 20 seconds to break it open.
Rosenkaimer scored off a pass from Hubbard at 30:44, then Healey
scored off a pass from Rosenkaimer at 31:02 for a 3-1 lead.
KU stretched its edge with the first of
Solley's markers at the 41:00 mark. Kelley Healey assisted.
Butler's unassisted score off a rebound made it 5-1 at the 45:55
mark. Solley capped KU's scoring at the 47:22 mark with
another rebound goal.
Nann's tally with 56:02 off the clock
accounted for the 6-2 final.
Emily
Falko (fr. Catasauqua/Catasauqua)
played 42:20 in goal, with two saves and one goal allowed.
Abby
Rhone (fr. Chambersburg/Chambersburg) had one save and
allowed a goal in 18:47.
Melissa Watson (so. Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) did not
face a shot in the final 8:53 in the cage.
Cortney Colern had nine saves in net for
the Pioneers.
