Kutztown
lost to Shippensburg 3-0 in a battle for first place in the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division.
Game scores were 30-28, 30-22 and
33-31. Shippensburg (17-4) improves to 4-0 in the PSAC East,
while Kutztown (15-3) suffers its first division loss, falling to
3-1.
Erin Waters (sr. Waymart/Western
Wayne) led Kutztown
with 13 kills and five blocks. Nicole Biuso (sr.
Centereach, N.Y./Ward Melville) had 29
digs. Lindsay Confer (sr. Wingate/Bald Eagle) notched nine kills and 10 digs. Austin Kinney
(jr. Landisville/Hempfield) had 18 assists and 11 digs.
