Kutztown 3, Cheyney 0 (25-5, 25-2, 25-7)

CHEYNEY, Pa. — The Kutztown University women’s volleyball team swept Cheyney University in three sets, 25-5, 25-2 and 25-7, Tuesday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East contest.

Alex Thomas (so. Quakertown/Quakertown) led the Golden Bears (12-10, 3-3 PSAC East) with 23 assists and seven service aces.

Megan O’Connell (so. Horsham/Hatboro-Horsham) also had five service aces.

Danielle Ozment (so. Reading/Holy Name) took charge of the KU offensive attack with a team-best seven kills. Cali Snell (fr. York/York Suburban) had six, while Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) and Jenn Zook (so. Reedsville/Indian Valley) each had five.

The Golden Bears will return home for a non-conference match against Holy Family at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Keystone Arena.
