INDIANA, Pa.
— Indiana (Pa.) erased a 2-0 deficit, but
the Kutztown University women's volleyball team took the fifth set
15-5 to win 3-2 Friday at the Indiana (Pa.) Tournament.
After winning the first sets 25-17 and 25-19, the
Golden Bears dropped straight sets of 25-14 and 25-19.
KU was led by
Kelsey Nester (so. Catasauqua/Catasauqua), who
had 12 kills.
Katie
Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) had 10 kills.
Jamie Celia
(so. Douglassville/Daniel Boone) finished with 38 assists
and 11 digs.
Lindsey Smith
(fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) led the Golden Bears with 27
digs.

International 0 (25-8, 27-25, 25-11)
INDIANA, Pa.
— The Kutztown University women's volleyball
team edged Salem International in a close second set and ran away
with the first and third sets to win 3-0 Saturday at the Indiana
(Pa.) Tournament.
Kelsey Nester (so. Catasauqua/Catasauqua)
led
the Golden Bears with six kills and
Alex Thomas (so. Quakertown/Quakertown)
had 24 assists.
Danielle
Ozment (so. Reading/Holy Name)
had nine digs and
Lindsey Smith
(fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) had two.
Match 4:
Kutztown 3, Lake Erie 1 (25-11, 25-14, 24-26,
25-17)
INDIANA, Pa.
— The Golden Bears women's volleyball
team finished the IUP Tournament undefeated after a 3-1 win over
Lake Erie Saturday.
After taking the first two sets by scores of 25-11
and 25-14, KU dropped the third set 26-24. The fourth set was won by
KU 25-17.
Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown)
led
the Golden Bears with 14 kills and
Jamie Celia (so. Douglasville/Daniel Boone)
had 36 assists.
Lindsey Smith
(fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic)
had 20 digs and
Kelsey Nester (so. Catasauqua/Catasauqua) had
nine.
