Edinboro tops Kutztown in PSAC Crossover

EDINBORO, Pa. — The Kutztown University women's volleyball team dropped their match against Edinboro 3-1 Friday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover.

Kutztown (11-8) took the first set 25-23, then dropped the next three by scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-16.

Leading KU was Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) with six kills and two blocks and Cali Snell (fr. York/York Suburban) had three blocks.

Libero Lindsey Smith (fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) led the Golden Bears with 23 digs.

Kutztown will play Friday night against Gannon at 7:15 at Edinboro.


 

Gannon tops Kutztown in straight sets

EDINBORO, Pa. The Kutztown University women's volleyball team dropped their match with Gannon 3-0 on Friday night at Edinboro.

The Golden Bears (11-9) dropped the sets by scores of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-17.

Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) led Kutztown with four kills and three blocks. Brittni Speck (fr. Hesston/Huntingdon) had five blocks.

Lindsey Smith (fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) had 16 digs and Jamie Celia (so. Douglassville/Daniel Boone) with 10 digs.

KU will play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. against IUP at Edinboro.


IUP sweeps Kutztown in crossover play

BOX SCORE

EDINBORO, Pa. The Kutztown University women's volleyball team was swept 3-0 by Indiana (Pa.) in their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover at Edinboro.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-22 and 25-17.

Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) led the offense with 11 kills and Lindsay Confer (so. Wingate/Bald Eagle Area) contributed nine kills.

Lindsey Smith (fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) had nine digs and Kelsey Nester (so. Catasauqua/Catasauqua) had five blocks for the Golden Bears (11-10).

The volleyball team will return to action on Tuesday at Cheyney with a 7 p.m. start time.
