SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Kutztown University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to host Shippensburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East match Thursday night.

KU (8-5, 0-3 PSAC East) took the first set 26-24, but dropped the next three to Shippensburg (10-6, 3-1 PSAC East) by scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-19.

Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) had 10 kills and three blocks to lead the Golden Bear offense.  Chipping in with eight kills was Lindsay Confer (so. Wingate/Bald Eagle Area). Also contributing was Katie Lutz (fr. Greencastle/Greencastle Antrim) with six kills and two blocks.

Jamie Celia (so. Douglassville/Daniel Boone) dished out 28 assists and had nine digs, while Lindsey Smith (fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) added 14 digs.

The Golden Bears will host East Stroudsburg at 2 p.m. Saturday in a PSAC East matchup.
