West Chester 3, Kutztown 1 (25-19, 15-25, 29-27, 25-13)

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting West Chester in a PSAC East volleyball match Tuesday night at Keystone Arena.

The teams split the first two sets, with WCU winning 25-19 and KU winning 25-15 in sets one and two.  The pivotal set three went West Chester's way, as the Rams battled back from a 20-15 deficit to knot the score at 20.  From there, the teams battled back and forth until KU had a set point at 27-26.  WCU, though, scored the final three points to win 29-27.  West Chester then cruised to a 25-13 win in the fourth set.

Lindsay Confer (so. Bellefonte/Bald Eagle Area) had 16 kills and three blocks to lead Kutztown.  Katie Miller (jr. Elizabethtown/Elizabethtown) had 12 kills.  

Jamie Celia (so. Douglassville/Daniel Boone) dished out 33 assists and had 10 digs.  Megan O'Connell (so. Horsham/Hatboro Horsham) had 15 digs, while Lindsey Smith (fr. Hanover/Delone Catholic) added 14 digs.

KU falls to 8-4 overall, 0-2 in the PSAC East.  West Chester ups its record to 10-2, 3-0.
