KU with four kills |
MILLERSVILLE, PA (November 7, 2009) –
The Kutztown University women's volleyball team was handed a 3-0
loss to Millersville in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
regular-season finale on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Bears, already securing
a playoff berth before the match, will enter the PSAC playoffs as
the number two seed in the Eastern Division.
Kutztown fell by set scores of
25-17, 25-18 and 25-22.
Senior
Katie Miller (Elizabethtown/ Elizabethtown) led the offense
with five kills and one block.
Cali
Snell (York/York Suburban) collected four kills and was
strong at the net with five blocks.
Jamie Celia (Douglassville/Daniel Boone)
recorded 18 digs and three service
aces. Her team-leading 46 aces gives her 145 in her career, which
ranks third all-time at KU.
Erin Kissling (York/Central York)
rounded out the offensive attack, with four kills and three blocks.
The Golden Bears will host
Shippensburg in the first round of the PSAC playoffs on Tuesday
night at Keystone Hall at 7 p.m.
