Kutztown cruises past Bowie State

BOWIE, MD (October 26, 2009) – The Kutztown University volleyball team defeated Bowie State, 3-0, Monday night in a match at A.C. Jordan Arena Monday night. (BOXSCORE)

The Golden Bears had no trouble in their first away game outside of the state of Pennsylvania this season easing past the Lady Bulldogs, 25-16, 25-10, 25-15. Kutztown (13-10 overall) has won five of its last six matches.

Cali Snell paced the Golden Bears with eight kills. Overall, Kutztown finished with 34 kills. Erin Kissling and Katie Miller combined for 11 kills. The Golden Bear freshman tandem of Dana Wright and Kimberlee Gomber registered 18 and 10 assists, respectively. Lindsey Smith had three aces and nine digs.

Kutztown returns to action Friday evening when it hosts Cheyney University in a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m.
